This type of event runs similarly to a regular event without the formal competition. \nWe do not require previous high performance driver training or experience\, but participation in a Car Control Clinic or Autocross School is highly recommended. First timers and inexperienced autocrossers will be assigned a driver coach to ensure they get the most out of their day. \nOur events are very social and we welcome all makes of cars\, not just BMWs and MINI. Unlike some other clubs\, we don’t limit registrations from other marques. Everyone has the same chance of getting in! \nRegistration opens 11/14 @ noon!

SUMMARY:Autocross Top Driver Shootout
DESCRIPTION:The Top Driver Shootout (TDS) is an end of season competition for the coveted Fechner Cup\, but also a thank you to our dedicated members who participated in three or more events during our 2016 Autocross Series. The course is run in two different directions and the top drivers from each run group move on to a shoot-out round where they drive a loop-back version. Between the morning and afternoon driving sessions we enjoy a catered BBQ lunch and present awards to our class winners. \nThis event is invitation only for anyone who attended three or more regular-season autocross events.

This year we are fortunate enough to have our family reunion presented by Michelin once again!\n  \n2015’s Oktoberfest\, hosted by the New Jersey Chapter\, was a week filled with old school charm and exciting driving events. But now it’s time to prepare for the next chapter of the Oktoberfest story¬–the 47th Annual BMW CCA Oktoberfest Presented by Michelin in Monterey\, California!\n  \nO’Fest 2016 will be part of a once-in-a-lifetime celebration spanning almost two weeks in honor of BMW’s 100th anniversary. The event will be held in conjunction with two other favorite club events—Legends of the Autobahn and the Festorics corral—so you do not want to miss this historic event. The host hotel for O’fest will be the Hyatt Monterey and the track is\, of course\, the thrilling Laguna Seca Raceway. Yes\, finally you\, too\, will drive the Corkscrew!\n  \nMonterey is known for incredible scenery\, the Monterey Bay Aquarium\, Fisherman’s Wharf\, and the nearby vineyards in Carmel Valley making this location the perfect setting for the centennial celebration and O’Fest!\n  \nOktoberfest will run from Tuesday\, August 23 through Sunday\, August 28\, 2016\, and will feature many of the staples that longtime attendees have become familiar with at previous gatherings\, including the Bridgestone autocross\, Pirelli Concours\, rallies\, and of course\, high-performance driving events.
